Tips From Leslie Segrete
TV's Expert Gives Her Best Advice on Home Related Challenges

Leslie Segrete is a home improvement expert with an eye for design and the skills to get the job done. She knows what turns a house into a home and has the tips and ideas to make improvements easy and fun.

 

Leslie's home improvement skills span radio, television and print. From 2002 through 2007, Leslie Segrete was part of making design dreams reality as a carpenter and designer for TLC's hit series Trading Spaces and While You Were Out, Leslie designed, built and executed projects to please the participating families and millions of her fans every single week to this day. Leslie was also the lead designer on The Ugliest House on the Block, on the We Network.  In the series Leslie designed dramatic exterior makeovers that benefited the whole community. Leslie is currently in production for a new home makeover series on A&E as designer and host.

                                                                          

Besides television, Leslie also co-hosts The Money Pit, a nationally syndicated home improvement radio program heard on over 237 radio stations around the nation as well as on satellite radio. Talkers Magazine named Leslie to their prestigious Heavy Hundred list of the "100 Most Important Talk Show Hosts in America." The Money Pit’s first book; "My Home My Money Pit,  Your Guide to Every Home Improvement Adventure" can be found at book stores everywhere currently, is a homeowners guide to all home improvement adventures.

 

From October of 2007 through December 2008, Leslie was editor at large for Country Home Magazine, creating their popular Shop Girl monthly feature. These pages featured simple projects that make beautiful additions to your homes décor, as well as product recommendations and seasonal tips to keep your home gorgeous and functional. Check out her new ideas every month on the pages of Country Home, available on newsstands everywhere.

 

Before TLC, Leslie's wide-ranging professional background including Head of Set Design for the Oxygen Network, where she designed and over saw the daily production of twenty programs produced in their New York Studios, Art Director at The Ricki Lake Show, stage work and prep cooking for Good Morning America, in addition to creating set and props for many theatrical productions in New York City. She also enjoys cooking and even holds a degree from the French Culinary Institute.

 

Leslie is a seamstress, carpenter, decorator, designer and professional chef all wrapped up in one very energetic package. She's a true renaissance woman through and through!
